Welcome to The Flats! Living on your own for the first time is an exciting step. This checklist will help you prepare for a successful move-in experience. As a reminder, we recommend you bring what works for you! This list is a suggestion of items you might find useful when living in your first apartment.

Community Guidelines & Reminders 

  • Apartments are furnished with twin-XL size beds. 
  • Do not put holes in walls, doors, cabinets, or furniture. Use approved removable mounting products for decorations. 
  • Do not bring flushable bathroom wipes 
  • Do not bring LED adhesive strip lights 
  • Keep your apartment clean and free of excessive clutter. 
  • Be considerate of roommates, neighbors, and shared spaces. 
  • Review and follow all apartment community policies. 

Prohibited Items 

  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, ammunition, knives intended as weapons, and explosive devices, including toy replicas.  
  • Illegal drugs including marijuana and controlled substances not prescribed to the resident. 
  • Drug paraphernalia including hookahs and other smoking apparatus 
  • Stolen property. 
  • Any illicit, illegal, or hazardous materials. 
  • Any item prohibited by community policies, state law, or university regulations. 

 Room Options

 

If you are still in need of housing, another option is the University Center downtown. Please note this option is solely between the student and University Center. CSU is not responsible for any agreements or arrangements made with the University Center.
