Housing and Residence Life Mail and Packages 

This webpage is designed to help students, parents, and families understand the mail and package procedures for students living in Chicago State University housing. The information provided outlines mailing addresses, package processing timelines, pickup procedures, prohibited items, and other important policies related to receiving mail while living on campus. 

While Housing and Residence Life works diligently to assist students with mail and package delivery, Chicago State University and Housing and Residence Life are not responsible for lost, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or damaged mail and packages. Students are encouraged to carefully track shipments and ensure that all mail is properly addressed. 

Mail services and delivery situations can vary; this webpage may not address every unique circumstance. Housing and Residence Life staff are available to assist with questions and help resolve mail and package issues whenever possible. Students, parents, and guardians with specific questions regarding mail, package delivery, package tracking, missing packages, or mail-related concerns should contact housing@csu.edu 

Addressing Mail 

When addressing mail, the following information is required: 

• Student First Name 

• Student Last Name 

• Residence Hall Street Address 

• Room Number 

• Room Letter 

• City, State, and ZIP Code 

Mail that is missing required information may be delayed or returned to the sender.
