Departmental Named Awards

College & Departmental Named Awards are special awards created by the college or its departments to recognize students' specific achievements. Each award has its own criteria and significance, as explained below, and students are chosen by college or departmental faculty.

Artice W. Harmon Memorial Scholarship

The Artice W. Harmon Memorial Scholarship awards $500 to a graduate-level occupational therapy major and underrepresented minority who demonstrates initiative in scholarly pursuits, leadership abilities and diligence in the pursuit of a career in occupational therapy.

Shanel Crawley 

Batia Levy Family Scholarship

This award is given to a minority student in their last year of the occupational therapy curriculum with a clinical promise to support participation in Level II fieldwork.

Cynthia Heath-Baldwin Award

This award is given in the name and memory of Cynthia Heath-Baldwin, former alumna and faculty of occupational therapy, to a student who has demonstrated significant personal and professional development in the field of occupational therapy.

Chicago State University / College of Health Sciences & Pharmacy Foundation Scholarship Award

This award recognizes students who are full-time students in any of the P1, P2, P3, or P4 years, with a minimum 2.9 GPA, and with active involvement within pharmacy organizations and community service.

This award recognizes students who are in good academic standing and are interested in community pharmacy practice.

The award is given to students in the 4th year of the pharmacy program seeking a twelve-month, postgraduate training experience  (PGY1).

This student has established a GPA of 2.5 or higher, as well as an established track record of public health leadership and practice, externally and in-class.
