Admissions Application International

This webpage is designed to help the prospective graduate student apply for admission online.

Although the Graduate School continuously accepts applications year-round, it is strongly recommended to meet published admission deadlines. Late applications are automatically transferred to the next upcoming term without notice to the student.

Instructions for Applying Online

Step 1: Apply online

To apply online click the button,  

  1. New Users - Create a New User Account.
  2. Returning Users - Click here to login

Step 2: Start a New Application

Click on the Start a New Application button

Step 3: Start Application under Graduate Admission

Click on the Start Application button

Step 4: Select your choices and Start Application

  1. Choose a degree.
  2. Select the program of your interest.
  3. Select your Citizenship status
  4. Select your term.

Step 5: Complete application forms

  1. Complete your application form and upload the necessary required documents 

Step 6: Application Fee.

  1. Applicant should Pay Online before they can submit the application 
    • Click SAVE and PAY button
    • Choose Payment Method - Select Pay Online
    • Click the Buy Now button which will route you to the PayPal payment site
    • Once your payment is processed, click Return to Merchant to get back to the application portal and submit the application 

Step 6: Verify and Submit the application.

  1. Read the terms and click the checkbox "I verify all is true and correct."
  2. Sign the application electronically by typing your full name in the Electronic Signature box. 

Step 8: Return Home to the Applicant Dashboard.

  1. Here you can find the information related to your Application status, MIssing Checklist Items, Application Decision Status, and Registered Events.

Documents Required.

  1. Resume
  2. Statement of Purpose (An Essay describing your interest in the program).
  3. Official Transcripts from all the higher education institutions/colleges/universities ever attended.
    1. The official transcript must be either sent directly from each university (through www.escript.com, www.parchment.com or www.studentclearinghouse.com) or must be placed in a sealed envelope and signed by the university registrar.Unofficial transcripts are not accepted. An official transcript is not required for Chicago State University earned credits.
    2. A Course by Course evaluation of all foreign educational credentials (transcripts) is required and must be reported directly to the university by any of the following and/or professional evaluation service agencies: Education Credentials Evaluators (ECE) or World Educational Service (WES).
  4. Passport Copy.
  5. Proof of English Proficiency.
    1. TOEFL Official score Report, Minimum total score of 69 is required.
    2. IELTS Official Score Report, Minimum overall score of 6.0 is required.
    3. TOEFL/IELTS waiver Application: Request for waiver of English language
  6. International Student Packet.
    1. Financial statement Form - Document needs to be notarized.
    2. Certificate of sponsorship - Document needs to be notarized.
    3. Bank Statement.
