Applications can be accepted on a rolling basis year round, however students must first talk to a faculty mentor to discuss possible research opportunities prior to submitting an application and required paperwork.
The program is only open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
Only full-time undergraduate STEM students that have aspirations of attending STEM graduate programs are eligible to become scholars.
Yes ILSAMP scholars receive a stipend on a monthly basis for participating in the program.
International undergraduate research experiences are offered once a year. For additional information please reach out to LSAMP Coordinator or Program Associate.
The LSAMP program is designed to support primary undergraduate STEM degrees and does not fund a secondary undergraduate STEM degree, however we strongly encourage you to visit ourresearch opportunity page(link to page from this question) to apply to other applicable research programs.
