Alpha Epsilon Lambda -The National Graduate and Professional Honor Society

Alpha Omega Chapter

 In Spring 2014, 23 Graduate and Professional Students from Chicago State University (CSU) became Founding Members of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda. CSU joins 46 other chapters and over 12,000 members. Membership in Alpha Epsilon Lambda is open to graduate and professional students who have:

  • Completed at least 12 credit hours of graduate work
  • Have a GPA in the top 35% of the college in which the student is enrolled, and
  • Are involved in leadership roles such as a student organization officer while in the graduate or professional program.

The organization is recognized by the CSU Division of Students Affairs, students are inducted every Fall and Spring.
Membership in Alpha Epsilon Lambda provides graduate and professional students with:

  • Recognition of academic achievement and leadership,
  • Opportunity to interact with graduate and professional students across colleges, and
  • Membership in an organization that is nationally recognized that can be noted on a resume or CV.
  • Members are eligible to wear a cord and/or stole as part of graduation regalia.
