Management Information Systems Program

1- General Education Requirements: 42 credit hours

• Composition (9 credit hours): ENG 1270, ENG 1280 and ENG 2790.
• Foreign Language (6 credit hours).
• Mathematics (6 credit hours): MATH 1200 and MATH 1400
• Humanities (6 credit hours): CMAT 1140 and *Fine Arts Course
• Physical & Life Sciences (6 credit hours): BIO and PHY
• Social Sciences (9 credit hours): ECON 1010, ECON 1020 and one *diversity course

* Satisfies both diversity and fine arts requirements:

ART 2110, ART 2150, GEOG 1100, MUS 2285, CMAT 2140 and PHIL 1020

2- Business Core Courses: 48 credit hours
ACCT 2110, ACCT 2111, ACCT 1290 or ACCT 2291, FIN 2660, MKTG 3110, INSY 1370, INSY 3200, QBA 2000, QBA 3500, MGMT 1020, MGMT 1030 or MGMT 1045, MGMT 3010, MGMT 3020,  MGMT 3240,  MGMT 4850, and MGMT 4890.

3- Management Information Systems Major Courses: 27 credit hours
INSY 1360, INSY 2840, INSY 2900, INSY 3250, INSY 3270, INSY 3280, INSY 4300; and 6 additional hours of any 2000 level MIS course or above.

4- Business Electives: 3 credit hours
Select 3 hours of upper-division business courses. 

Minor in Management Information Systems (MIS): 21 credit hours

• Required Courses (18 credit hours): INSY 1360, INSY 2900, INSY 3250, INSY 3270, INSY 3280, INSY 4300.
• Elective Course (3 credit hours): Any 2000 level MIS course or above.
