Teaching and Research Interests
My interest in teaching comes from wanting to prepare students for their next steps--whether it is teaching core skills like problem-solving or prequistite material like general chemistry--and to always improve on the student experience in my classroom.
My scientific research background is based in rheology (the study of flow). My prior work looked at how polymer additives can act as mist control agents--to prevent small droplets from forming during accidental sprays of fuels and lubricants and to increase the amount of treated water lands on intended crop leaves in agricultural sprays.
