Chemistry Camp

3.) Do you want to connect with other high school students who share an interest in STEM? 

Join us for a four-week laboratory experience designed for high school students to explore careers in chemistry. 

Participants in this camp will receive hands-on training in modern chemical instrumentation and instruction in conducting a research project. Research projects will include natural product extraction, biodegradable polymer synthesis, and recycling techniques for additive printing.

Requirements

In order to be considered for the High School Sumer Research Experience Sponsored by BESI:

• Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Submit a completed application through the Google form.
• Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher (preferably a science teacher) or guidance counselor emailed from the source to rrichter@csu.edu
• Demonstrate an interest in chemistry or biology.
• Be able to work both independently and in groups.

Students accepted into the program must commit to attend for the full four weeks in order to receive the participation stipend.
