CHICAGO, IL—Chicago State University (CSU) proudly announces the appointment of three accomplished professionals—John C. Robak, Dixie Erwin, and Michelle Helene Gooze-Miller—to its Board of Trustees. The University also celebrates the reappointment of Angelique David, whose leadership continues to advance CSU’s mission and impact.
![]() John C. RobakAppointed by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, John C. Robak brings extensive experience in leadership, civic engagement, and business to his new role as a member of the Board of Trustees. Robak is the current Chair of the Chicago State Foundation Board of Directors, and his longstanding advocacy for CSU’s mission underscores his commitment to educational equity and community-focused excellence. Robak is the former Chairman and CEO of Greeley and Hansen, a global consulting firm in civil, environmental, and water infrastructure, where he guided the company through a landmark acquisition in 2022. His civic involvement includes leadership roles with the Community Policing Advisory Panel (CPAP) for the Chicago Police Department and board service with organizations such as Leadership Greater Chicago, Lyric Opera of Chicago, World Business Chicago, and the Goodman Theatre. Robak holds an MBA from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from DePaul University. |
![]() Dixie ErwinDixie Erwin joins the Board of Trustees as Managing Partner for Hybrid Cloud Services at IBM Consulting. She leads the integration of multiple acquisitions, serves as IBM's senior state executive for Illinois, and develops partnerships with government, universities, and ecosystem stakeholders to address business and community challenges. Erwin’s leadership is defined by the execution of complex, multi-national programs that improve efficiency and reduce costs for major global enterprises. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Chicago Youth Centers. Erwin earned a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Chico, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. |

She also serves on the Board of Directors of Devon Bank and on the Advisory Board of Summit Design + Build. Her previous leadership roles include General Counsel and Director of Strategic Initiatives with Secure Community Network and partner at Patzik Frank & Samotny. Gooze-Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. |
