Chicago State Foundation Announces New Board Members
New board members have been named to the Chicago State Foundation Board of Directors.
The following new members were appointed:
- Leslie Anderson, SVP U.S. Head of Business Banking, Treasury & Payment Solutions
- Alvin Boutte, Jr., CEO of Bronzeville Academy Charter School
- Dorothy G. Capers, SVP & General Counsel of National Express LLC
- Spring Capers, Entrepreneur
- Angelique David, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at
Ziegler
- Kristin R. Finney-Cooke, Senior Consultant at NEPC Investment Consulting
- Mark Flessner, Partner, Holland & Knight
- Corliss V. Garner, VP and Senior Advisor, BMO Harris Bank
- Rev. Dr. Marshall Elijah Hatch, Sr., Pastor, New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist
Church
- Peggy A. Montes, Founder and President of the Bronzeville Children’s Museum
- Abraham Thompson, Managing Principal, Creative One Consulting, LLC

The new members possess a wide array of expertise and have established records of
stellar achievement. As board members, they are responsible for providing operational
governance and cultivating private financial support to advance the University’s brand
and provide student scholarships.
The first meeting was convened on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Most board members will
serve two or three year terms. Andrea Zopp’s is serving a one-year term set to end
September 30, 2019, and is eligible for renewal of a three-year term. Board officers
have not been elected.
