CSU to Compete for Championship Title at 30th Annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge

After winning a series of regional competitions, Chicago State University is one of 48 universities that will vie for the championship title at the 30^th annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC), America’s premier academic competition for Predominately and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.  CSU is a returning contender and was in the top sixteen in 2018. The HCASC National Championship Tournament will be held April 13-17, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.  CSU will compete for the top prize – a $75,000 institutional grant from Honda. 

Kayla A.C. Mensah, senior, from Baltimore, Maryland (Biology & Pre-Med major), Albert F. Nelson III, junior from Seattle, Washington (Finance major), Jaylin Briana Shelton, sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri (Music major) and Ali Kieiche, junior from Kenitra, Morocco, (International Relations major) makes up the CSU team of scholars.  Dr. Olanipekun O. Laosebikan and doctoral student Brandon Morgan coach the team.
