Marissa Beale, Freshman Women's Soccer Player Receives WAC Offensive Player of the
Week
Chicago, IL - Chicago State University freshman women's soccer student-athlete Marissa Beale from Frazier Park, California received the Western Athletic Conference's First Offensive Player of the Week award
for the 2018 season following a great start to her collegiate career last weekend.
The award is the first for Beale and the first weekly honor for the Cougars in their
five-year history as a program.
A 5-foot-8 forward/midfielder recorded a pair of goals in the Green and White's season-opening
trip in Ohio this past weekend. She scored her first collegiate goal in the 69th minute
at Youngstown State last Friday and followed that with the team's only goal at Cleveland
State.
Beale leads the team in scoring with four points and two goals on the young season.
