Scholarship. Leadership. Service.
At Chicago State University, a student's overall experience is enhanced by the numerous
fraternity/sorority organizations that call this campus their “yard.” Through various
programs and events, these fraternities and sororities promote excellence in areas
such as scholarship, leadership development, student involvement, and community service.
Our fraternity and sorority members serve in leadership capacities such as the Student
Government Association, Resident Assistant, Executive Officers and more.
In addition to maintaining full compliance with the policies and guidelines set forth
by each respective organizations' national governing body, all fraternities and sororities
and their members must adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by Chicago
State University's Office of Student Activities to be recognized as "active" on the
                        campus.
Chicago State University currently serves 12 valued-based chapters across the governing
councils that range in mission from social to service to cultural; however, each chapter’s
organization was founded on the principle of scholarship, leadership, and service.
