As our county continues to manage the COVID-19 emergency, Comcast is taking immediate steps to help connect low-income families to the Internet at home through its Internet Essentials program, which is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive broadband adoption program. New Internet Essentials customers will receive 60 days of free Internet service, which is normally available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month.
Additionally, for no additional fee, the speed of the program’s Internet service has increased to 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream – providing capacity for an entire family to learn and work.
