Honors College LogoWelcome to the Honors College at Chicago State University! We are a community of scholars with high expectations of ourselves and others. We are students, faculty, and staff dedicated to serving the campus community, as well as our local, regional, national, and global communities.

The Honors College was founded in 2004 as a means to better serve talented and highly motivated students. Since its inception the College has been committed to developing critical thinkers focused on leadership and addressing local, regional, national, and global issues. We seek students who are looking for challenges inside and outside the classroom and who desire to be surrounded by like-minded students.

The Honors College at Chicago State University offers:

  • an enriched, interdisciplinary general education curriculum
  • a series of research and fieldwork focused seminars and colloquia
  • a supportive student community committed to helping each other
  • a dedicated group of faculty who encourage students to maximize their potential
