Welcome to CSU Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The mission of the University Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to protect the rights and welfare of research subjects and to function as a review board concerning all research and research-related activities at Chicago State University (CSU). Chicago State University is committed to fostering standards of excellence in all aspects of research in those areas of investigation where human subjects are utilized. To this end, several programs have been created to support and encourage CSU investigators in their pursuit of knowledge and the protection of potential subjects. This site provides information to potential researchers, potential subjects, research sponsors and granting agencies. The CSU IRB is under the direction of Dr. Rachel Lindsey, IRB Chairperson and Dr. Esther Jenkins, Interim Coordinator.
