CSU Alumnus Dr. Melvin C. Terrell Featured in Diverse Issue of Higher Education Cover Story, Examining His Contributions to Academia and Student Affairs

Dr. Melvin C. Terrell, retired Vice President for Student Affairs and Professor of Counselor Education at Northeastern Illinois University was featured in the Diverse Issues of Higher Education cover story.   Published on June 28, 2018, the article details his approach to equity and diversity in student affairs and his commitment to education. 

The article was prompted by a recent book written about Dr. Terrell called Advancing Equity and Diversity in Student Affairs - A Festschrift In Honor of Melvin C. Terrell.  A Festschrift is a time honored academic tradition that recognizes the retirement of a noted and celebrated scholar.

Dr.Terrell graduated from Chicago State University in 1971 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Education with a focus on history.  Dr.Terrell retired in 2008, and currently resides in Florida. Read more about Dr. Melvin C. Terrell click here.
