Professor Houston Recognized on NBC 5 as a Black History Legend
Chicago State University has a history of producing educators for nearly 150 years. Honored this month as a Black History maker, one of our very own alumna, Prof. Christine Houston teaches writing and media arts in the College of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Houston was the first African-American woman in Hollywood to create her own television show, 227. Prof. Houston has led a storied life and endured an extraordinary career. She continues her legacy by continuing to write new works and instilling knowledge into new writers.
