CPS, CSU Partner to Train New Principals

CPS, CSU Partner to Train New Principals

Chicago State University recently announced it will be a participating member of the Chicago Leadership Collaborative (CLC). The CLC is a partnership between selective principal preparation programs and Chicago Public Schools to identify and foster the next generation of principals in CPS schools.

The CLC program began in 2011 with the mission to recruit, train, support and retain effective principals, in order to create a pipeline of highly qualified leaders to meet the District's needs well into the future.

The grant program allows for a unique partnership between CPS and leading principal preparation programs like Chicago State. Under the grant agreement, CSU will work to develop high-performing principals who will be able to take advantage of a valuable pipeline that allows them to become transformational urban school leaders.
