Statements of Economic Interest
Statements of Economic Interests and Supplemental Statements of Economic Interest forms are mandated by the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5ILCS 420/49) and must be completed annually by employees who meet the criteria of the Act. The Secretary of State will mail Statements of Economic Interests on March 16, 2020 to CSU employees who are required to file. Statements of Economic Interest should be returned to the Ethics Officer for review prior to mailing to the Secretary of State.

Employees who complete the Statements of Economic Interests are also required to complete a SUPPLEMENTAL STATEMENT OF ECONOMIC INTERESTS (SSEI) form mandated by Ill. Executive Order 15-09. The SSEI forms will be emailed to employees at their CSU email address, along with a link and a pin, and should be filed electronically with the Illinois Executive Ethics Commission (EEC) annually by May 1st.
Filing Deadline
CSU Employees and Members of the Board of Trustees required to file Statements of Economic Interest for 2020 should submit, signed original statements to the CSU Ethics Office , Cook ADM Building, Room 203 on or before Wednesday, April 24, 2020.
Filing Penalties
Failure to meet the 2020 deadline will result in the State levying penalties against you and an audit finding for the University.
