Continuing Education


The Continuing Professional Education Program (CPEP) is  complementary to that of the Chicago State University College of Pharmacy to be actively engaged in continuing educational programs that meet/exceed the needs of local constituents (pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, other health care providers, health care organizations, and the community) that will impact the health care needs of people in the region, state and the nation.

Goals: The goals of the College of Pharmacy CPEP include the following:

  • Establish and enhance community, educational and professional partnerships

  • Develop and strengthen post-graduate education and training opportunities

  • Provide structured educational programs and services to promote life-long learning, continued personal and professional development and enhanced professional competencies

  • Promote active learning, problem solving and critical thinking applicable to the practice of pharmacy and health care-related services

  • Use feedback from local constituents to determine timely, relevant topics that promote patient centered care across practice settings

  • Design activities to meet the needs and responsibilities of pharmacists and technicians
