Chicago State University recognizes that every student deserves the best from educators to reach their full potential. Our Special Education endorsement equips educators with the tools and knowledge they need to best serve students with special learning needs. Coursework covers survey of the exceptional child, general characteristics of children with disabilities, general methods for teaching children with disabilities and psychological assessment.
The Special Education Learning Behavioral Specialist – I Endorsement is designed for individuals who are already certified/licensed as general education teachers and are looking to add to their skillset and advance their career. The LBS1 endorsement requires a passing score on the LBS1 (155) test or (effective June 6, 2022 (290). “By completing this course and the LBS1 test, teachers will receive the LBS1 endorsement credit.
