CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER SERVICES
Career Advising Staff
- Staff is experienced in corporate recruiting and career advising, knowledgeable of employers and the job search process, highly regarded by students, focused on individual student needs. The staff most importantly knows how to get jobs and effectively communicates this knowledge to students.
- ‘Can-do’ attitude in serving employers; goal: to be college of choice for firms
- Advisors are assigned to colleges to better serve the students and facilitate communications with employers & the College

- Coop program enabling students to get quality work experience
- Minority Intern Program—established program to allow students to earn money while getting work experience

- Annual Fall Career Fair in October with many quality employers visiting campus
- Annual Spring Job Fair in March for full-time, internship & part-time jobs
- Annual Teacher Job Fair in April with many school systems from the Chicago area, Illinois and some out-of-state employers

- Permits students to have to have 24-hour access to all jobs for CSU students

FREE ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING SESSIONS FOR ALL CSU STUDENTS
Chicago State University takes pride in offering a rigorous academic programthat will challenge you to think well, communicate clearly and engage the world with intelligence and compassion. At this point in the semester you may be feeling stretched academically — but THE DEPT. OF HOUSING AND RESIDENCE LIFE IN CONJUNCTION WITH TRIO will provide the resources to help you be successful. Peer tutoring will take place in Residence Hall Lounge 220 every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30PM – 5:00PM. Tutoring in Math and English will be offered. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Charles Collins in the TRIO Dept. at extension 2546 or Ms. Alexandra Richmond at extension 12812 in the Dept. of Housing and Residence Life.
