Assessment of Outcomes and Revision Cycles

As indicated on the preceding tables, a specific individual or individuals have been assigned responsibility for implementing each strategy listed for each strategic goal. Timelines are also indicated and should be adhered to. Overall responsibility for holding those listed as responsible for strategies, timelines and administering assessment measures belongs to the Vice President for Planning, Research and Sponsored Programs. She has been charged by President Daniel to monitor the plan and constantly assess CSU's progress in accomplishing each goal by conducting the assessments listed in the final column of the tables.

Annually, the Vice President for Planning, Research and Sponsored Programs will make a report to President Daniel that will detail the findings of the assessment process. President Daniel will then report to the CSU community and will make recommendations for changes and modifications in the plan as well as for modifications in the timelines. The plan will be used at all levels of the university as a basis for decision making and resource allocation. It will serve as the road map or navigation chart for CSU as the university enters the new century. It will not remain static or unchanged, but will be flexible and will grow and evolve as the university builds on the present and discovers the possibilities of the future. Groups within the CSU community must join together to accept future challenges and realize the great promise that is the legacy of those who founded and nurture the CSU of today. The entire CSU community must work to launch the university on a new trajectory and be committed to working creatively and synergistically to reach as yet unimagined heights.
