Eligibility
The program is open to public high school
sophomores, juniors and graduating who wish
to explore space science and technology.
Local high school teachers can also participate
to recieve graduate credit!
Objectives
The Saturday Academy for Space Science is
being supportedsponsored by NASA and Chicago
State University in order to help toto increase
the number of under-represented minorities
having an interest and ability in the pursue
careers in the space space sciences. The
specific objectives of the program are:
- To increase student knowledge of space
sciences
- To increase student knowledge and interest
in careers in space science
- To enhance student oral and written
technical communication skills and develop
student scientific collaborative learning
skills.
