Chicago State University's State the Facts advertising campaign was recently awarded the Silver Collegiate Advertising Award in a national competition which received over 700 entries.
CSU's newly organized Office of Marketing Communications launched the award- winning campaign in April 2012. Recognized for its creativity, message effectiveness, design and production quality, this campaign is based on third-party validated facts about the university. Special highlights include effective student to faculty ratio and award winning athletes. Facts reveal that Chicago State University has a world-class faculty that provides students with a quality education, making them competitive in today's workforce.
Entries are judged by industry experts and are scored on multiple criteria with a possibility of 100 points. Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16% of the nation for advertising excellence.
"Such a prestigious award reflects the talent, creativity and commitment that characterize the Marketing and Communications team at CSU", said Dr. Angela Henderson, Vice President of Enrollment Management. "Ms. Sabrina Land, and her team are to be commended for their outstanding work and the positive way this outcome reflects on the university", Henderson added.
Various distribution channels of advertising media are utilized in the campaign, and all messages drive traffic to the university website. The Office of Marketing Communications in conjunction with a third-party vendor also built a mirror homepage to generate and track leads www.csu.calls.net .
