CHICAGO – Chicago State University junior Jocindra Glee was recognized by the Western Athletic Conference today as the league announced that she earned its Women’s Track and Field Runner of the Week award.
The award is the first this season for Glee and also marks the first weekly honor for the Green and White.
Glee captured her first event title as a Cougar last Saturday as she recorded a time of 57.60 to win the 400-meter dash at the Windy City Rumble, hosted by the University of Chicago. Her time now ranks as the top time in the WAC with the conference’s indoor championship meet now only two weeks away. Glee and the Cougar women will travel to North Central College in Naperville this Friday to compete in the annual Chicagoland Championships.
