CSU Brings Jazz to Beverly

The Chicago State University Family recently welcomed it's neighbors in the Beverly neighborhood to the 2nd Annual Jazz on the Hill free concert held on the lawn of the President's Residence.

Over 350 friends, neighbors, alumni and their families all attended for a gorgeous evening on the lawn which included entertainment from the Morgan Park High School Band as well as artists Margaret Murphy and Milton Suggs.

Jazz on the Hill is a joint effort between CSU and 19th Ward Alderman Matthew O'Shea, who along with CSU President Dr. Wayne Watson conceptualized the event as a means to strengthen ties between the University and the Beverly community, to connect with more CSU alumni and to recruit new students from the area.

CSU would like to thank the co-sponsors of the event including the 19th Ward Youth Foundation, The Beverly Area Planning Association, The Beverly Review and Calabria Imports.
