Mathematica at Chicago StateMathematica is the premier computational software system created by Wolfram Research. The department of Mathematics and computer science is now in it's second year of gradually incorporating Mathematica into courses. So far it has been used in Differential Equations and Multivariable Calculus and next year we will use it in our Numerical Analysis Class. Of course, the Math and Computer Science club uses it all the time when we play with problems as well! The departments license has a few surplus copies for CSU faculty for sale for $200.00. This would give you a copy for school that would need to contact our license manager program from a CSU IP address and a copy for the home which could be used anywhere. Another way to obtain Mathematica is directly from Wolfram Research . If you are interested in one of our remaining copies or in joining our efforts to bring Mathematica to Chicago State, please contact John Erickson. On campus, click here to access Web Mathematica. |
