Office of International Programs OIP
(OIP) is the students link between Chicago State University and the world. Borne out of the universitys missions to produce graduates who are responsible, discerning and informed global citizens with a commitment to lifelong learning and service, OIP serves the entire campus by raising the level of internationalstudies through study abroad opportunities, language enhancements and cultural enrichment. OIP creates an environment that encourages students who are developing a growing interest in internationalism, and supports those international students whose intellectual quests have led them to CSU. Additionally, OIP fosters opportunities for faculty to engage students in intellectual and innovative global knowledge from perspectives that transcend disciplines.
Services we offer:
* University and student liaison with various governmental agencies
* Support services for faculty research and travel abroad
* Production and distribution of information packets for international students
* Full-credit study-abroad programs
* Assistance in acquiring travel documents and visas
* Assistance in securing airport-to-campus ground transportation
* Student advising and personal development

-OIP holds professional membership in the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA)
-OIP participates in professional development conferences at the state, regional and national levels
-OIP maintains open lines of communication between CSU and other universities, both locally and abroad, to foster collaboration on behalf of traveling students and faculty
-OIP holds an annual distinguished lecture series to promote democracy, leadership and development around the world.Publications Each semester OIP publishes The Global Review, a newsletter by and for students and faculty interested in international studies and global issues.
