Publications
The Office of Publication’s main objective is to ensure a level of uniformity for print and design matters for the University. Achieving a unified graphic image for Chicago State University (CSU) depends to a great extent upon the cooperation of faculty, staff and students. The guidelines presented are intended to assist in working toward that synergistic graphic image. This does not mean that all brochures, flyers, posters, and other communication materials must look the same. But it does mean that the general public should be able to recognize a certain “look” or “brand” which identifies Chicago State University. Use of this standard image leads to increased awareness of the University and its educational mission of excellence.
The Office of Publications supports the mission of the University by producing key publications, which keep alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Chicago State University informed about the main events, developments and success of the University. The office is responsible for seeing that the university’s wordmark and seal are used correctly and that other graphic design elements are implemented. This responsibility includes publications in both print and electronic form that are institutional in nature and are distributed to external and internal audiences.
