At least 3 credits from a physical science and at least 3 credits from a life science, with 3 hours in another physical or life science discipline. At least one course must be a laboratory course.
- Mathematics 6 credit hours
Math 1010/140 and 1020/141.
- Social Sciences 6 credit hours
PSYC 1100/141 and 2040/204.
- Diversity: 3 hours

HIST 1200/120, 1210/121, 1300/130, 1310/131, 2200/220**, 2220/222, 2470/247, and 3 hours selected from HIST 4030/303, 4100/310, 4270/327, 4280/328, 4290/329, 4430/343.

9 hours of elective courses in American history;
12 hours of elective courses in European or world history.
