Student Employment

 New Academic Library

On-line registration will begin on August 1, 2010 for all eligible students applying for College Work Study. To complete the registration process please access the Chicago State University "SEARCH JOBS" web site.

All applicants must have completed the 2010-2011 FAFSA, enrolled for at least six hours for the Fall semester and be in compliance with the University's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy.

The Office of Student Employment provides part-time employment with funding provided by the Federal Work-Study Program. To establish eligibility for Federal Work-Study funds a student must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process. Additionally, in order to be considered for a position a student must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree seeking program and making satisfactory academic progress.

Students must schedule an interview in order to be considered for any opening in work-study positions. A limited number of interviews are available for the fall and spring semesters. Please consult this web site periodically for an announcement as to when the Office of Student Employment will be scheduling interviews.

Please be sure to arrive for your scheduled interview on time. If you are late you will not be able to reschedule due to the large number of students applying for a limited number of on-campus jobs. Please bring with you an official picture ID (your driver’s license, state ID, Passport, etc.) along with your Social Security card or birth certificate. If you do not bring these required items you will not be able to complete the interview / hiring process and will not be considered for employment.
