CSU MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NEW INCOMING STUDENTS FOR THE 2015-2016 ACADEMIC YEAR

Chicago State University recognizes the importance of quality education and is dedicated to helping students achieve their higher education goals. To help in this effort, Chicago State University offers merit-based scholarships to academically talented students.  Merit Scholarships are automatically awarded to qualified students who apply for early admission. A paid fee of $50 secures the scholarship offer.

The Merit Scholarship for New Incoming Students is renewable for future academic years, provided a student meets continuing eligibility requirement, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain continuous full-time enrollment each semester
  • Comply with the CSU Code of Conduct
  • Submit a complete FAFSA application prior to May of each year of attendance
  • Be eligible for Federal Financial aid
  • Meet all academic criteria:
    • Freshman must have both the required composite ACT and grade point average
    • Transfer students must meet degree and/or credit hour requirements and grade point average

If you have been selected to receive a Merit Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year it will be necessary, before we can finalize the processing of your Merit Scholarship, for you to review and accept the Terms and Conditions as outlined in the CSU MERIT SCHOLARSHIP ACCEPTANCE STATEMENT. You will receive notification via e-mail as to when you must complete this process, and instructions as how to access this statement on-line, through CSU-X-press, so that you may complete the acceptance process.
