CSU Merit Scholarships

 

Chicago State University recognizes the importance of a quality education and is dedicated to helping students find a way to achieve their higher education goals. To help in this effort, Chicago State University offers merit-based scholarships to academically talented students. CSU Merit Scholarships are awarded to qualified students who apply early.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Incoming freshman, transfer and graduate students must maintain full-time enrollment status. Per admissions guidelines
  • Students must meet all academic criteria:
    • Freshmen must have both the required composite ACT scores and grade point average; must maintain 3.0 GPA throughout enrollment at Chicago State university
    • Transfer students must meet degree and/or credit hour requirements and grade point average; must maintain 3.0 GPA throughout enrollment at Chicago State University
    • Graduate students must meet degree and/or credit hour requirements and grade point average; must maintain 3.5 GPA throughout enrollment at Chicago State University
  • Must be eligible for federal financial aid
  • Must complete a FAFSA each year
  • Must complete Verification (if selected)
  • Must complete two on-line enrichment workshops
  • Must complete Terms and Conditions
  • Must be U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Cannot be in default on federal student loan(s)

Chicago State University: Online Enrichment Workshops: All Merit Scholarship recipients are required to complete two online enrichment workshops. USA Funds has designed two life skills lessons that allow you to fulfill the enrichment workshop requirement.  Please log on to www.lifeskills.org and select “Request a New Account,” Chicago State University School Code: 00169400. Student Access Code: 00169400-02 Click on “My Catalog” to see the available lessons. Students must complete both of the following lessons:

  • #204- How do I manage my school life?
  • #205- How do I manage my personal life while in school?
