The CSU academy embodies the traditions, expectations
and spirit of the campus and, thus, serves as an integral
part of our faculty’s collegiate experience. There are 350 full-time faculty and 120 part-time faculty members, of which 90 percent hold the doctorate or equivalent degree, with research specialties across a wide spectrum serving at the university. Expecting students to perform well becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy when faculty and institutions themselves hold high expectations and make extra efforts. Research and scholarship are supported and encouraged in every facet of the university’s operations.
Faculty Advising
In addition to the support staff at our campus, all students are assigned a faculty advisor to assist them in achieving academic goals. We encourage our students to develop a close relationship with their advisors.
Faculty Development
Faculty gatherings provide occasions for faculty to foster mutual support and to share learned experiences. A Faculty Development Center provides selected resources designed to encourage teaching, learning, scholarship and service that transform lives.
