Chicago State University College of Pharmacy (CSU-COP) invites applications for the following faculty positions. Successful applicants will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to establish a new college of pharmacy, which will enroll its first Doctor of Pharmacy class in Fall 2008. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Pharmacy Administration, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmacology/ Physiology. Four tenure-track academic-year positions are available in these areas. Responsibilities will include teaching, establishing a funded research program, and participation in the service missions of the college. Qualified applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the respective area or a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have a pharmacy background, but it is not required.

Pharmacy Practice. A twelve-month, non-tenure track faculty position in ambulatory care is available. Responsibilities include didactic and experiential teaching, practice site development, scholarship and participation in the service missions of the college. The preferred candidate will have a Pharm.D. degree, a minimum of one year pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience, ability to develop an innovative pharmacy practice and conduct collaborative research, evidence of teaching experience and be eligible for Illinois state licensure.

All candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. In addition, a commitment to student-centered education and demonstrable promotion and enhancement of diversity is required.
