University Without Walls

Enrollment into the University Without Walls program has been ceased until further notice.

The University Without Walls (UWW) program is an innovative and flexible approach to obtaining a bachelor’s degree. The program is different from obtaining a degree in the traditional manner because the student is required to work (on a paid or volunteer basis) for at least 20 hours each week. This experience is transferred to college credit through a learning agreement that is set up between the student and a faculty advisor as well as a program advisor. The skills gained from the work or volunteer experience are interwoven into a body of academic and theoretical knowledge provided through Chicago State University. To find out more about the University Without Walls Program please contact us by email or telephone 773.995.2457

Why might you choose to obtain a degree through the UWW Program?
1. You need a degree to enhance your career.
2. You would like to use your work or volunteer experience to earn a degree.
3. You are interested in an off-campus based, independent study degree program.
