The following table lists the diagnostics and when they should be given in the physics classes.  The post-tests are typically given at the end of the semester.  The assessment coordinator will provide you with the diagnostics as well as the scantrons a few days before the assessment is to be given (once the number of students in the class has somewhat stabilized.)  This will be done for both for the pretest and the post-test.  Instructors are invited to view the assessment web pages maintained by the Chemistry and Physics Department.  These pages are accessible from the department's website.  For restricted documents, a password can be obtained from the assessment coordinator.

IMPORTANT - Please:
  • have students provide their name, the date, and the class on all instruments so that we can track students and look at class gains.
  • make sure students take the diagnostics in class and that students return all forms- we must make sure to preserve the integrity of these instruments.
  • Once the instrument is given please return both the actual instruments and the scantrons to the assessment coordinators mailbox so that the data can be entered.
