About the Department

The Department validates the importance of learning languages through; teaching, study abroad programs, and culture.  This advantage, in turn, better prepares students to enter the job market and experience success in their endeavors.

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures represents an essential connection of intellectual, artistic, and cultural traditions within an international network of humanities.

Student Activities

Students of all levels in our language programs participate in French Club and Foreign Languages Organization (F.L.O.). Outstanding academic achievement students are invited to join the CSU chapter of Phi Sigma Iota.
