Determined Leaders, Future Engineers

Dear Student,

Thank you for your interest in the 2014  PREP/STEM Program in Engineering and Science at Chicago State University. The PREP/STEM Summer Academy will begin on Monday, June 30, 2014 and end on Friday, August 8, 2014. The hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The PREP/STEM Summer Program is designed to make students aware, at an early age, of the professional opportunities in engineering and to convince students to take more mathematics and science as a part of their high school course load.. The goal of the PREP/STEM Saturday Academy is to increase awareness of career opportunities in engineering in order to facilitate the selection of an engineering major in college. The PREP/STEM Program is beneficial to students because it provides critical insight into the engineering profession, the demand of an engineer curriculum and what is expected of them academically and socially in college.
