The six-week Summer Enrichment Program at Chicago
State University is designed for high school freshman, sophomores, juniors and rising seniors
who have an interest in the health professions. Students selected will
be involved in the following:
Enrichment courses will include:
- Chemistry and Physics
- Algebra and Pre-Calculus
- English
- Reading
- Study Skills
- Medical Terminology
9th Grade
- English
- College Writing
- Biology
- Algebra
- Career Exploration
10th Grade
- Geometry
- Chemistry
- College Writing
- Career Exploration
11th Grade
- ACT Prep
- Algebra II / Trigonometry
- Anatomy / Physiology
- College Writing
- Career Exploration
12th Grade
- College Algebra
- Microbiology / Immunology
- College Writing
- Career Exploration

Career activities will include:
- Health career exploration
- Visits to health care facilities
- Visits to health professions colleges
- Meeting health professionals
Qualifications
- Interest in a health profession
- 2.7 GPA (transcript required)
- Recommendations from either a high school teacher or guidance counselor; and
- Parental consent

Cost: $500
DEPOSIT REQUIRED - $250

other biomedical facilities;
