PRESENT RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Stress physiology of selected crop plants [ mostly abiotic stress including temperature, drought and salinity] and Biochemistry using both in vitro and in vivo techniques, Tissue culture techniques including protoplast fusion and somatic hybridization to develop new varieties for disease resistance and stress tolerance.
Environmental pollution [mainly aquatic] monitoring and control , Environmental health, Physiological Ecology, Bioremediation and Utilization of aquatic plants for nutrient stripping and Waste-water treatment and water recycling for agricultural purposes. |
