About the Colloquium

The psychology department at Chicago State University (CSU) has a deep commitment to and investment in the promotion of academic excellence. Over the past decade, the psychology department at CSU has offered its students and community an opportunity to share in what has become an exciting tradition in scholarship. Through its annual Colloquia, the psychology department at Chicago State University has endeavored to disseminate compelling information that will enhance the well being of African Americans. Consequently, each year we sponsor a colloquium highlighting mental health and psychological issues that impact the quality of life for African Americans. In addition to hosting a prominent figure in the field, the colloquium series features undergraduate and graduate research endeavors.
