Services

The Administrative Office of Physical Facilities Planning and Management directs and coordinates the general day to day operations and related services of the University.  The support staff handles  the register for the work order request and troubleshoots the daily telephone incidents or complaints and distributes to the proper trade for resolution.

The Assistant to Director is primarily responsible for the financial accountings of the various units within PFPM, the CSU Buy system and other financial tools and works with those supervisory and registered staff on PFPM purchases. 

The Auto Mechanic is primarily responsible for the general maintenance of the fleet of university vehicles and grounds equipment. The hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Building  Custodial Services provide custodial services for the entire campus and available university proprietors. The Building Custodial Services workers are divided into two shifts:  Day shift is 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and the Evening shift is 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.

The Carpenter Shop is responsible for maintenance and repair of doors, windows, floors throughout the campus requiring general and specialty carpentry service.  The hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Driver Helpers primary responsibility is to set up and breakdown internal and external events campus wide, all sponsored functions on and off campus, as well as relocate furniture, equipment and/or department offices and staff as required. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Electric Shop is primarily responsible for all the electrical power to the day to day operations of the university campus facilities. The hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. 

The Engineers primarily manage the heating/air conditioning in each campus building and University property. This unit has engineers which cover three shifts, seven days a week.  

  1. First Shift: 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  2. Second Shift: 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  3. Third Shift: 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is primarily responsible for developing an overall health and safety written program starting with Hazard Communication and a Chemical Hygiene Plan. 

The Groundsmen are primarily responsible for the beautification and maintenance of the campus grounds and the official University Residents. There are seven employees within this unit who provide services such as planting and maintenance of shrubbery, trees, lawns general landscaping; as well as snow removal on sidewalks and pavements throughout campus properties. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The Life Safety Specialist is primarily responsible for the general safety of personnel, fire safety of property and code compliance  in university buildings and the general campus environment.  The Life Safety Specialist works to identify and to communicate to the University Administration life safety issues to ensure the proper upkeep and safe condition of campus facilities, including operation of fire alarms, fire suppression systems, fire detection and fire extinguisher maintenance programs.  

The Painters provide plastering, refurbishing services and painting for the entire campus, the official University Residence and all off campus property.  Special services such as furniture refurbishing are provided via submittal of a work order and upon PFPM approval.  The hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Plumbers are primarily responsible in the installation and repair water pipes and drainages, and heating pipes and fixtures within a university buildings.  The hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
