Congratulations to the Department of Nursing 2008 Graduates who attained a 97% pass rate on the NCLEX - RN. The score is above the State of Illinois (90%) and the National (87%) average.

The application process for admission to the Chicago State University Department of Nursing begins in the fall semester prior to admission into the professional sequence. Students must be enrolled in Nursing 091 (N091).

Application packets can be picked up in the department located in the Business and Health Science (BHS) building Room 200A, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 Information sessions and the Battery of Tests for nursing applicants are offered during the Nursing 091 course. This course is offered during the Summer semester for LPN students and during the Fall semester for Basic students. Additional information regarding the nursing program is available on the department website, by telephone (773-995-3992), and in the main office of the Department of Nursing, located in Room 200A in the Business and Health Sciences building.
