IMEA Junior Fall Music Festival
November 1, 2008, the Department of Music hosted the IMEA District 1 Junior Fall Music Festival. Students from 90 different middle and junior high schools in the south Chicago and south and west suburban Cook and DuPage County region made up the 160 piece concert band, 100 piece orchestra, and 140 piece choir. The closing concert gave us the opportunity to showcase our new Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center. This facility provided the opportunity for us to host an IMEA festival concert for the first time, something we look forward to repeating in the future.
