Welcome to BEV
Word 2003 Version How to Record Your Name BEV Feedback Form BEV Satisfaction Survey
BEV is Chicago State University’s (CSU) voice activated attendant that transfer you to a person (staff, administrator, professor, etc.), or department when you state the full name of the person or department. BEV’s services expedite the handling of the call and minimize the need for a printed directory. View the video or click the link above for written instructions on using BEV. You should record your full name, using instructions above, to enhance the efficiency in the use of BEV. Your recorded name will allow the caller to confirm that he/she is being connected to the correct person or department. He/she will hear you say your name in your voice. Please click on the link above for instructions on recording your name in BEV. If you don’t know the last name of the person you are calling, please use the CSU on-line directory (http://www.csu.edu/is/telecommunications/index.shtml, click ‘CSU Directory’) to look up the department or name. The search can be conducted by first name, last name, or department. Tell everyone who calls you not to wait until the end of the system prompt. He/she can ‘barge-in’ and interrupt BEV at anytime to make a request. BEV will automatically transfer the call to the operator if the caller is experiencing difficulties. We request that you continue to provide feedback so that we can provide the highest level of customer service to the campus and the communities we serve. Please click the link above and provide us your feedback by using the form(s) to inform the Office of Telecommunications of any issues or suggestions regarding BEV. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue to enhance our services.
