Full Time Tenure Track Faculty in Early Childhood Program
Early Childhood Program at Chicago State University seeks candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position, beginning in the Spring 2010.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to include supervision of student teachers/practicum, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses; advising students; engaging in scholarly activities and research; developing and maintaining positive relations with outside agencies; and participating in service activities at the discipline, school and university levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate is required to have the following:
- Earned Doctorate in Early Childhood (ABD considered but doctorate must be completed by August 2010)
- Background in Primary and Special Education
- Illinois Teaching Certificate (with an endorsement in early childhood preferred)
Other Qualifications Desired:
- Evidence of teaching at the college or university level, minimum two years (preferred)
- Evidence of a minimum of five years teaching experience at the early childhood or elementary level
- Experience using technology, such as Blackboard, LiveText, Microsoft Office, etc.
Salary and Rank: Salary and fringe benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: Spring 2010
